What’s happening now...
If you’re going to attend the Trade Fair, please come by and visit us. This year we are featuring a very cool dart board game, with special prizes for those of you who hit the bulls-eye!
EPA is holding their next Regional/State/Local Dispersion Modelers Workshop in Portland on May 10 – 13. Topics covered will include new developments related to AERMOD and CALPUFF, and selected topics of concern to regional, state, and local modelers.
EPA recently issued a new policy memo related to PM2.5 modeling procedures. The guidance for calculating the modeled design concentrations for PM2.5 NAAQS demonstrations has changed. Guidance for conducting PM2.5 significant impact modeling and for using PM10 modeling analyses as a surrogate for PM2.5 demonstrations is also provided in the new memo. Here is a link to the new guidance:

News From Bee-Line Software
EPA is working on a post-processor for NO2 1-hour modeling analyses and for other pollutants and standards as well. In the meantime, don’t forget about Bee-Line’s NO2POST program, which can be used in the interim. NO2POST is free to download for all BEEST users currently in maintenance. Non-BEEST users may purchase it for $150. One word of caution – the post files generated by AERMOD are huge, and you must generate these files as input to NO2POST, so make sure you have enough disk space on your computer to handle very large files.
Speaking of NO2POST, we will be presenting a new demo, "Demonstration of NO2POST" on Thursday April 29 at 3 pm CDT. This will be an on-line WebEx-based presentation lasting about 30 minutes. If you’d like to attend, please RSVP to demos@oris-solutions.com.
If you missed any of our 2009 or 2010 demos, you can find them on-line at
Support → Demos. If you have suggestions for future demos, drop us a line.
