What’s happening now...
You can still catch A&WMA’s Understanding Today’s Clean Air Act Permit Programs. It will be held October 5–6 in Indianapolis. You can find
the details here.

Just a reminder—the 10th Conference on Air Quality Models is set for
October 27–28 in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Rumor has it that EPA will be releasing draft PM2.5 permit modeling guidance prior to the conference. Look for details regarding the conference and the draft PM2.5 guidance to be announced on the EPA SCRAM website.

Although it’s only August, we’re already planning our classes for 2012. If you have any preferences for where next year’s AERMOD Modeling for Permits and Practical CalPuff classes should be held, please drop us a line at
info@oris-solutions.com.

News From BEE-Line Software
BEE-Line AerScreen
Our next on-line AERSCREEN class will be on September 22, 2011.

Professional CalPuff 3.02.0 released!
Professional CalPuff v3.02.0 was released August 24. This version will allow you to include multiple CALMET.DAT input files when running CalMet.

BEEST v9.91 has been released!
With BEEST v9.91 (released August 11), we have:
  • Added the ability to run the AERMINUTE meteorological data pre-processor.
  • Added the ability to use the MULTYEAR option for all pollutants when running AERMOD.
  • Increased the number of corners that can be entered in the building grid view from 60 to 120.
  • Improved the display of building tier heights—each tier height is now displayed when viewing inputs graphically.
As always, if you have suggestions for upgrades or enhancements to BEEST, please let us know.

Users in current maintenance for BEEST and/or Professional CalPuff can download and install the updates by going to Support → Software Updates.

Meteorological Data Processing
Don’t forget–when you need meteorological data processed for input to either AERMOD or CalPuff, Oris is here for you. Whether you find yourself needing on-site, National Weather Service, Automated Surface Observation System (ASOS), or MM5 data processed, we can help.

New to the air permitting game and not really sure where to start? Oris will be presenting our Air Permitting Basics online class on September 14. This class gives you a great overview of air permitting and its many nuances.

As mentioned above, our next AERSCREEN Training online class will be held September 22.

Our next AERMOD Modeling for Permits class is set for October 18–19 in Chicago. You’ll be able to learn about the new versions of AERSCREEN, AERMOD, AERMAP, AERMET, and AERMINUTE all at once!

Right after the AERMOD class, we’ll be launching into our Practical CalPuff class, also in Chicago, October 20–21.

For more information on these classes, please check the EnviroMod University home page.

Remember, if you take one of our classes but don’t yet have either BEEST or Professional CalPuff, you will get a 15 percent discount on your
