What’s happening now...
The only thing that’s constant in this world is change, and that’s never been truer for the dispersion modeling world. AERSCREEN ... new AERMOD ... new BEEST ... training courses ... conferences and workshops - there are lots of things going on right now, so let’s get to it.

News From BEE-Line Software
New BEEST out!
BEEST version 9.84 has been released. This version includes bug fixes and enhancement suggestions sent in by the BEEST user community. Some of the enhancements include:
- New tutorials for OL M/PVMRM and NO2/SO2 1-hour NAAQS modeling
- Ability to export output contours to Google Earth
- Ability to quickly determine radius of impact values for multiple modeling scenarios
Oris will be presenting an on-line demonstration of BEEST 9.84
on March 17, 2011 at 3 pm CDT. Click here to sign up for the demo.
AERSCREEN
Rumor (from highly placed sources) has it that the "final" version of EPA’s AERSCREEN model will be released in March 2011. Any substantive changes from the beta version will be incorporated into BEE-Line AerScreen as soon as possible.
BEEST Tip of the Month
BEEST gives you flexibility in determining how to display your input data graphically. You can actually change the scale of the display when you are in Show Current Data Graphically. To do this, click the Options button on the left-hand side (6th row from the top, far left). The "Show Options" window will open. On the Scale tab, you will see the word Scale and an input field below it. Change the number in this field and click the OK button.
AWMA Clean Air Act Permitting Workshops
As we mentioned last month, Oris is proud to be a sponsor for a series of Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) workshops entitled "Understanding Today’s Clean Air Act Permitting Programs." The first one will be March 1-2 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Subsequent workshops are scheduled for Houston, Texas (April 13 -14); Denver, Colorado (May 4-5); Seattle, Washington (August 30-31); and Indianapolis, Indiana (October 5-6). If you make it to one of the workshops, please be sure to stop by the Oris booth and say Hi!
