What’s happening now...
The 10th Conference on Air Quality Models has been postponed from October 27–28 to March 13–15, 2012. It is still planned to be held in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. EPA may still release draft PM2.5 permit modeling guidance sometime this fall. Look for details regarding the conference and the draft PM2.5 guidance to be announced on the EPA SCRAM website.

News From BEE-Line Software
BEE-Line AerScreen
Our next on-line AERSCREEN class will be on November 17, 2011. Click here for details.
BEEST
A new version of BEEST, v9.92, will be coming out in mid-October. It will have some exciting new functions:
- The ability to search and find objects (sources, buildings, tanks) on-screen (for both Show In and Show Out).
- The ability to automatically concatenate five years of AERMOD-ready meteorological data into a single file.
- An automated naming convention for concatenated meteorological files
- And more!
As always, if you have suggestions for upgrades or enhancements to BEEST, please let us know.
Users in current maintenance for BEEST and/or Professional CalPuff can download and install the updates by going to Support → Software Updates.
BeestXpress
Are you finding yourself having to do a plethora of AERMOD runs to demonstrate compliance with the new 1-hour SO2 and/or 1-hour NO2 National Ambient Air Quality Standards, but your computer resources are stretched too thin? Our BeestXpress remote AERMOD modeling system can help! AERMOD runs with hundreds of sources, and thousands of receptors can now be partitioned into up to 30 pieces and run in parallel on our high-speed BeestXpress system. You won’t believe the net effect—an AERMOD run that could take an entire day on your local computer can now finish in about an hour on BeestXpress! Alternatively, if you have LOTS of smaller AERMOD runs pending, you can upload all of them to BeestXpress and run them concurrently (with or without partitioning). In either case—computer resource problem solved! Check out http://www.beestxpress.com today.
